Privacy Policy Overview
This Privacy Policy covers the Toronto Downtown Bed and Breakfast (TDBAB) treatment of personal information that is recorded when you register for one of our newsletters. No other information is collected from visitors to our web site.
Our privacy policy does not apply to the practices of other companies advertised, or otherwise listed, on the TDBAB web site, nor does it extend to people that TDBAB does not employ or manage.
Information Collection and Use
TDBAB collects minimal personal information when you subscribe to one of our newsletters. The only information collected upon registration is your email address and the date of your subscription. Optionally, you are invited to provide first and last name and hometown. TDBAB uses the services of Constant Contact (http://www.constantcontact.com/) to collect and manage this newsletter list. TDBAB uses email address information to deliver newsletters to your Inbox and to send you announcements and carefully screened offers and information from our partners and certain vendors.
TDBAB also gathers information from guests who register to stay at Toronto Downtown Bed and Breakfast. This information includes date of visit, full names, address, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, food preferences, charges and credit card information. This information is kept by TDBAB to facilitate repeat reservations. This information is never shared with other sources, other than
- information required by our Credit Card services in order to process charges relating to that guest's visit; and
- e-mail addresses and names added to our Constant Contact newsletter list unless the Guest specifically requests otherwise.
TDBAB also adds to the Constant Contact newsletter list the names and e-mail addresses of family, acquaintences, suppliers and other idividual contacts as have indicated an interest in Toronto Downtown Bed and Breakfast. These names and e-mail addresses are always individually added at the individual discretion of the proprietors and never from lists supplied by outside sources.
Any individual who receives our Newsletter may be removed from the database and subscription list by either clicking that response on the newsletter itself, or by writing to info@TDBAB.com.
Any previous guest may have their information (other than name, address, date of visit, charges, and payment history as required for accounting records) removed from the TDBAB database by writing to info@TDBAB.com. Information that may be removed at the guest's request includes: name(s) of other guests associated wtih that reservation, telephone numbers, e-mail address, food preferences and credit card information.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
TDBAB maintains the email address and other pertinent information regarding your reservation on the premises. TDBAB does not share this information with any outside agency. Constant Contact maintains your e-mail address and name, as per their Privacy Policy refered to above. Unsubscribe information is provided in all of our mailings, giving you the option to remove yourself from SiteProNews at any time.

At this time, Cookies are not used on the TDBAB site.
Security
Your email address information is stored in a protected directory. Access is restricted to TDBAB staff.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
TDBAB may amend this policy from time to time. If significant changes are made in the way your personal information is used, we will post a prominent announcement on our site notifying you of the change.
