Greetings!
Your gallivanting hosts are back again, ready to welcome
you back to TDBAB! It's finally spring - this week - and if the
current weather pattern continues, we can forget about summer
entirely.
There's always a lot to do and see in this city, especially in
our new neighbourhood. We sold our car and are learning to enjoy
walking, seeing this beautiful city from the same vantage point as
our guests. No wonder you love it! Busy streets like University
Avenue, previously just thoroughfares apparently designed to delay
our progress, have magically become beautiful tree-lined promenades
framed by some of the continent's most beautiful architecture. We'll
highlight a couple of them here.
Come, enjoy them all! We are!

Proclaimed "The time of your life, again!" by London's
Daily Telegraph, Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage's
London production received 4 Stars from The Times, The
Independent, The Financial Times, The Evening Standard, The
Mail on Sunday, The Sunday Times and Time Out London. With
unforgettable songs like "Hungry Eyes," the Academy
Award-winning "(I've had) The Time Of My Life," and classics
like "Do You Love Me?" Dirty Dancing is a popular culture
icon, and still the hottest ticket in town. And, yep, you can
walk there in 10 minutes from the new TDBAB!

Just four blocks from our new TDBAB location is Toronto's
newest venue for fun in the shadows of skyscrapers: Metro Hall
Square's new Indulge Your Senses experience every Thursday
till October. Food, farmers' market, and outdoor performances
give a new human scale to this 29-storey glass and granite
structure in the midst of Toronto's unprecedented building
boom.

The new (opened last year) Four Seasons Centre for the
Performing Arts has won every award and accolade possible it
seems, and best of all, it's just three blocks from the new
TDBAB.
The Canadian Opera Company's last performance of the season
is Don Giovanni & Renard, a special
non-subscription performance. June 16 to 22, 2008. Then come
back again in the fall, for the beginning of another season of
classics and modern masterpieces.

Okay, so this one is NOT just steps from your door at the
new TDBAB but it is a great getaway in between your visits! We
were there in April as part of an Africa Academy hosted by
Orient-Express. We had to study 24 hours a day, learning how
to experience African wildlife up close, while living in
absolute pampered luxury under canvas at all three of the O-E
safari camps.
A truly fantastic experience that Rog is more than ready to
arrange for your family, too! |

We're just back this month from the Fourth Annual TDBAB
Reunion, shared by 16 previous TDBAB guests, friends and
family, on the Crystal Serenity from Southampton to Rome.
Twelve nights of luxury, and lots of Lemon Drops. Lots and
lots of Lemon Drops! "A fun time was had by all." Here are the
photos. Don't miss the next one!

Join Us on our next TDBAB Reunion
There is no better or easier way to see the world, in
comfort, luxury and style, than from the right cruise ship on
the right itinerary. Finally, we've found the perfect
combination for our 2009 TDBAB Reunion: Azamara
Journey, from Copenhagen on July 24, 2009,
visiting two German ports, Helsinki, Tallinn,
Stockholm and St Petersburg in 12 days.
We've sailed in the Journey's twin sister, the
Quest, last year, and toured the Journey at one port.
These two ships, the newest entry in the Deluxe cruising
category, are perhaps our favourites on the sea today.
Completely refitted and launched last year, everything is new
and the crew are eager to satisfy your every wish. The casual
atmosphere (no formal attire required) is a real bonus, but
even better is the price! We've spread-sheeted them all, and
this is by far the best value for 2009.
The ports of call are all ones we've long wanted to visit,
and are eager to share with you. And if you've ever wanted to
visit Russia, this is the easiest way to do it, without the
hassle of visas and letters of invitation. Two nights in this
port allow a lot of time to immerse yourself in this
incredible, and breathtakingly unique, European city.
An overnight in Stockholm also allows us to host a
Private Pub Crawl in a city known for exciting night
life, a rare treat on a cruise that usually spends the nights
in transit.
As the Journey is a small ship (694 guests, 350 crew), it
can dock right at the pier, without tender boats, so we can
get on and off as easily as a hotel room in the city.
Please take a moment to look
over the itinerary and, if you even think you might be
interested, give us a call. All deposits and final payments
are fully refundable till March 5, 2009, so there is
absolutely no risk, and every reason to hold your space on
this incredible Journey.
Please join us!
