| Spring Greetings!,
Spring is back! All in all, a mild winter, but it is
always a relief to see the tulips once again! It's been a busy few
months at TDBAB, but we've also enjoyed a few extra getaways in the
meantime, and we're eager to see you all again!
There's a vat of Lemon Drops in the fridge and fresh roses in
your room - all that's missing is you! Come home, to TDBAB, soon!

| TDBAB 2007 Reunion in British
Columbia |
 |
We said it before (in this very space): "Probably the
best night of our B&B lives was November 11, 2005!" That
was the TDBAB Reunion held in Nottinghamshire, UK, for all our
previous (and even some future) guests. Thanks in a huge part
to the hospitality of our hosts there, Sarah and Richard, it
was an amazing weekend that none of us will ever forget.
Among our former guests there was Pauline Brigden from
Vancouver Island BC. Pauline has volunteered her beautiful
home, and willing husband Alan, for the next one: Friday
April 13, 2007
Please check your calendar and book that week off for a
trip to one of the most scenic and exciting parts of Canada!
Rog is planning some very exciting pre- and post-activities -
so clear your schedule for some sightseeing experiences of a
lifetime.
You are invited; if you've ever put your head on a
pillow or shared a lemon drop at TDBAB, please plan on joining
us! We'll be sending more details as we get closer to the date
- see you in Beautiful British Columbia!

| Lord of the Rings is
SPECTACULAR |
 |
The world premiere production of the epic stage
adaptation of THE LORD OF THE RINGS is
everything it promised and more! We saw it last week, and are
still shaking!
The visual effects are absolutely stunning, the music
hauntingly beautiful, and the acting superb. Whether you are a
LOTR fan or not, you should see it just for the sheer
spectacle (and the program has a very easy to follow synopsis
in case you've forgotten some of the finer points of the
Tolkien original).
At $27 million to produce, and $1.2 million per week to
stage, this is the most expensive ever mounted in Canada, and
the best seats in the house are yours, through TDBAB! Book
your seats, and room, today!

| Rog & Jim - Travelling the
World |
 |
It's been a busy season of travel - starting with a
January long weekend escape to Taos and Santa Fe, the
art capital of America - where we bought a new painting by
Carol Redmond, and fell in love with another American city. Photos?
Of course!
In February, we were off to Charleston, where Rog
was honoured by Orient-Express as one of the top 100 agents in
North America (and the only one from Canada) - and a reunion
with former guests Allan and Carol who - sure enough - made us
fall in love with another American city. More
Photos!
March hardly had enough days for our
travels. We started with a Cleveland visit with friends Mike and Nick as they prepared
to move to Toledo. Then two
weeks in Southeast Asia, sailing on the tall ship, Star
Flyer, and then a Virtuoso Travel Symposium in Singapore
and Cambodia.
April brought us to Vancouver Island, first to visit
Pauline and Jim's sister, Joy, and "check out" the site of the
next reunion; second, to look at houses in Victoria; and
finally, to attend the CBBH (our B&B group) convention in
the Okanagan Valley. All three were spectacularly successful -
and yes, that means that Victoria is likely our next B&B
location (after the twins have gradulated), and Auckland will
be but a vacation destination.
But for now, we're just happy to be home, and sharing some
time with you!

| The other Ring is coming to Toronto,
too! |
 |
"The Four Seasons Centre, situated at Queen and
University, will be a 2000-seat theatre specifically designed
for opera and ballet with the highest level of acoustics. The
traditional four-tiered, European horseshoe-shaped auditorium
will provide unparalleled intimacy between the audience and
the stage."
All that and more! It's opening in June, and in September
presents Richard Wagner's monumental Ring Cycle (Der Ring
des Nibelungen), never before produced in Canada.
Come share the excitement! Toronto certainly has a lot to
ring about this summer!
