| Greetings! "Where you go becomes who you are. Go somewhere breath
taking." I recently came across this tag line for the Preferred Hotel
Group. It certainly gave me something to think about. Whether for business or pleasure, travel - the pure object of
getting there - may be difficult. Even if we're in "first class" we
still battle the traffic, join the lines at security, face the
indignation of a customs shake down. We should at least know that at
the end of that process, something breathtaking awaits us. It may be
life-changing, like stepping out into Machu Picchu, or it may be
simply awe-inspiring, like the fountains at the Bellagio in Las
Vegas, but there should be something worth the travel. My job is ensure that your every travel experience has that
breathtaking element. I want to know that, for one brief moment,
this trip, your trip, will include an experience that you've never
had before. An incomparable view, an incredible massage, an
unsurpassed culinary experience, a feeling of weightlessness or a
walk on the bottom of the sea. Let me make it happen for you. Hold your breath, and "consider it
done!" Roger Kershaw

| World's busiest airports |
 |
|
Think Toronto's Pearson airport is busy? At 31 million
passengers last year, and a growth rate of 3%, it ranks number
29 in the world, and is certainly the busiest in Canada. The
world leader? Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport had a
traffic volume of 85 million, vying for top honours over the
past few years with Chicago's O'Hare. London's Heathrow, Tokyo
International, and Los Angeles LAX complete the top five.
Fastest growing of the top 30 is Beijing, with 48 million
passengers in 2006, a jump of 18% over 2005.
The largest cargo airport in the world is Memphis, the
FedEx hub. Hong King is second.
But size isn't everything! What about customer
satisfaction? The 2006 World Airport Award, given out by
Skytrax, honored Singapore's Changi Airport as the best in the
world. Hong Kong and Munich ranked No. 2 and No. 3. Copenhagen
Airport was given an award for the best on-site food. No U.S.
or Canadian airports were on the list.

Crystal Cruise from London to Rome
Since re-discovering the pleasures and the convenience of
luxury cruising last year, we've been on four, each a delight
in their own way, but one stood apart: Crystal Serenity
in the Mediterranean. I will be Tour-Conducting a group on one of their most
popular itineraries: London, Northern France and Spain,
Portugal, Gibraltar, Southern Spain and France, and Rome.
Twelve nights, eight ports, and all at up to half price, from
May 7 to 19, 2008. It's a "group," but no group activities are required: if
you want a quiet, exclusive two weeks of pampered luxury, this
is also ideal. Of course, you'll be tempted to join one of our
legendary Lemon Drop Martini receptions, but nothing is
obligatory. Except your pleasure! Please join us! It's an incredible value (half off the
brochure price) and lots of perqs (including a complimentary
shore excursion in Barcelona led by me!). Deposits are
required by October 1, 2007, to hold your stateroom, and all
deposits are fully refundable until January 1, 2008.

Credit Card tip It's a good idea to let your credit card companies know
when you are traveling abroad Credit Card suppliers face huge losses due to fraudulent
use of credit cards, and have systems installed to track any
changes in spending behavior that can signal a stolen card or
misappropriated card information. If you plan to travel to an
overseas destination, it is advisable to contact your credit
card provider to advise them of your travel plans and of your
estimated expenditure. This will avoid the inconvenience and
aggravation that can result from non-authorization of credit
card transactions while overseas.
Referrals welcome! The highest compliment my clients can give is the referral
of their friends, family and business associates. Thank you
for your support. |
